Types of Display Refrigerators
Display Refrigerators are very beneficial in any retail space. The majority of commercial food outlets use wall-to-wall or floor-to-floor displays for displaying their products. Most of these commercial food outlets have different sizes and shapes of walls.
Door-to-door displays: The most commonly used commercial display refrigerators are the free-standing ones which have an open front door. This type of refrigerator units do not have a freezer drawer but the storage area for the refrigerated products is located behind the doors. They are commonly found in grocery stores, restaurants, department stores and hotels. When the design of the commercial food outlet is being developed, the free-standing food items freezers are usually preferred as they occupy less space and can easily be installed.
Commonly available in the market are the bottom-loading, swing top or the countertop display refrigerators. These types of refrigerators are ideal for small or medium food items storage. If the storage space is less than 6 feet then the swing top or countertop type of refrigerator will work well for you. However, if the amount of food items storage needed is greater than six feet then the bottom-loading or the countertop refrigerators are what you need. These types of refrigerators come in two models i.e., the countertop and the top-loading refrigerators.
Most of these types of commercial refrigerators are found in kitchens and dining areas and are commonly called the sliding, console or island models. Door-to-door and door-to-sink models are also available for the common people who may only want to store their food items in their cabinets in their kitchen area. Door-to-door or door-to-sink display refrigerators have sliding doors which allow you to open them when needed to and close them immediately when you do not need them anymore. On the other hand, door-to-sink model refrigerators have a freezer with a door that you will open when you want to put food items in it.
The most important part of door-to-door and door-to-sink display refrigerators is its glass door. The glass door display refrigerators are more expensive than other types of this type of refrigerators. The reason behind its price is the beauty and elegance that it adds to the interiors of your kitchen and dining areas. They are best used for food products that are perishable and food products that you buy frequently since they are quite effective in storing them for a longer time period.
Another difference between door merchandisers' models and countertop display refrigerators is its style. Door-to-door and door-to-sink models have a long slim design with glass panels on the sides. On the other hand, countertop display refrigerators are designed to be used with the sliding feature wherein the door opens while the display panel remains closed.
The third type of model that you should choose from among all the other available is the top-mount sliding door refrigerators. These types of display units are perfect for small to medium-sized kitchens because it has a spacious interior. When you place it in a corner or any small space, it would not create an illusion that the appliance is bigger than its actual size. Its slim design is also perfect for tight spaces. In fact, some top-mount sliding door refrigerators are even able to fit inside pantries and small storage rooms where room is limited.
The fourth type of commercial display refrigerator that you can choose from is the top-mount swinging door refrigerators. This is one particular fridge that comes with a door swing feature which makes it very convenient for the storage and transportation of food and beverage items. When it is opened, it becomes a door refrigerator which is a big advantage as far as convenience is concerned. You can also find these types of displays in a number of different sizes and shapes. Most of them are made of stainless steel to make them appealing to the customer viewing them.
